Canine Good Citizen Testing

|
The NCA is pleased to offer a Canine Good Citizen Test on Wednesday, May 5. The CGC Program is a two-part program designed to (1) teach responsible dog ownership and (2) certify dogs that have the training and behaviors needed to be reliable, well-behaved members of the families and communities. It also can be a gateway to therapy dog work. What better way is there to showcase good manners and the sound temperament that is the hallmark of the Newfoundland! To help us approximate the number of dogs that will be participating, preregistration is strongly encouraged. Contact Bruce & Tracy Willoughby. The deadline for registration is April 1.
To preregister or volunteer to help with the test, complete the CGC form.

Always a crowd pleaser, this year’s Decorative Carting will be held on Wednesday, May 5, in the main ring during the scheduled lunch break. Entrants will have two opportunities to win trophies for 1st through 4th placements, one for the Judges’ Awards and the other for the People’s Choice Awards, determined by the audience. If an entry receives a placement, each individual participant in that entry will receive a momento.
The entry fee will be $15.00. For additional information and an entry form, complete the Decorative Carting Information Request Form on page 25. Contact Nan Edwards or Melanie Reynells. The deadline for entries is April 1.
