Location . . . The Hotel Carlisle is conveniently located on US Route 11, two miles south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interstate 76 at exit 226 or at exit 52 off Interstate 81.
The Site . . . Show headquarters will be the scenic 28-acre Hotel Carlisle & Embers Convention Center located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The hotel features 267 oversized guest rooms and suites all on the ground floor. Home-like room amenities include all the essentials to keep you looking and feeling your best. The hotel and convention center offers business class rooms featuring microwaves and refrigerators and spacious office stations in addition to the standard amenities. Special hotel amenities include a heated indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, game room, room service, 24-hour business center, and wireless Internet access. The show rings, grooming tent, and vendors will all be on site at the host hotel.
Pennsylvania’s climate in early May can be unpredictable, so come prepared for all kinds of weather. Plan to bring warm clothing, clothing that can be “layered,” hats, gloves, rain gear, and boots. The average high temperature for the week of the Specialty is 62 degrees, and the average low temperature is 40 degrees.

Exercise your dogs in designated areas only, and use the plastic bags and trash receptacles provided to facilitate clean up. No electrical cords may be run from hotel rooms through windows to any outdoor areas. We need everyone’s help in keeping the hotel rooms and show grounds, including grooming areas, clean.

Air Travel & Airport Transportation . . . The closest airport is Harrisburg, located approximately 35 minutes from Carlisle, but not all major airlines fly into this location. There is no shuttle service to the hotel. If you are transporting dogs, we recommend the following airports (driving distances between 2 to 3½ hours): Baltimore, Maryland (BWI); Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PHL); Newark, New Jersey (EWR); Reagan Airport/Washington National (DCA).
